Co-founder and Active Chairman Syneron Ltd (NASDAQ ELOS). Founder of a few start-up companies in Israel including Cardiodex, NanoCyte, Colorchip, Orsense, Ventor, Navotek and Tulip as well as a few other companies.

Former Chairman and CEO of ESC Medical (Lumenis) from its inception until 1999, bringing the company from a concept that he invented in 1992 to revenues of more than $220M in 1998, took ESC public in 1996 and raised more than $250M in public offerings.

 

Prior to that, Head of Product Development and Technical Director at Maxwell Technologies in San Diego, head of department at Rafael, Armament Development Authority of Israel. BSc in Physics from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology and PhD in Physics from UC Irvine. More than 25 registered patents and more than 50 papers published.

Serves as a member of the Advisory Board at Bear Stearns Merchant Banking Partners in New York.

Trustee of the Y&S Nazarian Family Foundation, which initiated the Mayo Foundation partnership with Chaim-Sheba Medical Center for Medical Simulation Curriculum.

Mr. Nazarian was conferred the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Honoris Causa) by the University of Haifa and received a degree as a Mechanical Technician, attending universities in Tehran and Israel.
